Ingredients to Make Boiled Eggs in the Air Fryer

  • Eggs: Use fresh, large eggs for this recipe. If your eggs are on the smaller side, you can probably fit 8 in the air fryer basket.

Tools Needed To Cook The Eggs

  • Air Fryer.
  • Tongs: These will come in handy for removing the hot eggs from the air fryer.
  • Bowl of ice water: This is for cooling the eggs down once they’re cooked.

Directions to Make Boiled Eggs in the Air Fryer

Step 1: Preheat the air fryer.

For best results, preheat your air fryer to 275 F for at least 5 minutes before cooking the eggs. This will help them cook evenly.

Step 2: Add eggs to the air fryer basket.

Place the eggs in the basket of your air fryer, making sure they don’t touch each other. If they’re too close, they may not cook evenly.

Step 3: Cook the eggs.

Cook the eggs for 10 minutes at 275 degrees F.

Step 4: Remove the eggs from the air fryer.

Use tongs to carefully remove the hot eggs from the air fryer and place them in the bowl of ice water.

Step 5: Transfer eggs into a bowl with iced water.

Let them sit for at least 2 minutes to stop the cooking process. This will also make them easier to peel.

Step 6: Peel and serve or store.

To peel the eggs, gently tap them on a hard surface to crack the shell. Then, hold them under running water and the shell should easily come off. Serve immediately or store in the fridge for later.

How Long To Cook Boiled Eggs In The Air Fryer?

The cook time will vary slightly depending on the size and number of eggs you’re cooking.

Also the cooking times varies bases on how you like your eggs, runny, soft, medium or hard.

I personally like my yolks to be set but still soft in the middle.

For 8-9 minutes cook time: The whites will be set but the yolks will be soft and runny.

Once the eggs have cooled down, you can store them in the fridge for later. Store the eggs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. To reheat, place the eggs in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes or until warmed through.

Can You Freeze Boiled Eggs?

Yes! You can freeze boiled eggs for up to 2 months. To freeze, place the eggs in a freezer-safe bag or container. Label and date the eggs, then store them in the freezer for up to 2 months.

To thaw, place the frozen eggs in the fridge overnight. Then, heat them up in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes or until warmed through.
